Designed for short stays, this apartment features a full bathroom, a well-equipped kitchen, and a living area that includes a bed, storage space, and a small multifunctional table for relaxation, studying, dining, and similar activities. The monochromatic design aims to highlight and showcase the sculpture by artist Yure Mendes, known for his delicacy, expressiveness, and rich detail.
Yure Mendes
YURE MENDES was born in Barbacena and is based in Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais. A history major, he is a self-taught visual artist and sculptor. His early works were created at a metalworking shop. This was a crucial period of experimentation during which he mastered techniques while striving to uncover the secrets of the language and handling of metal—the fundamental element of his creations. His body of work expresses versatility in the triad of technical purity, three-dimensional sensation, and artistic provocation, which can be seen in his portfolio of exhibitions, awards, and private projects. With a focus on sacred art, design objects, and contemporary sculptures, plurality is a hallmark of my work.
