RICARDO CRISTOFARO was born in Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais, where he lives and works. He has a degree in Fine Arts from the Federal University of Juiz de Fora, a Master's in Arts and Image Technologies from UnB/Brasília and a PhD in Visual Poetics from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul/Porto Alegre. He has been a full professor at the Institute of Arts and Design at the Federal University of Juiz de Fora since 1989. He has worked professionally as a visual artist since 1986, holding solo and group exhibitions in Brazil and abroad.
