The featured work bears the signature of the artist Gramboy, whose abstractions of straight and curved shapes remind us that life is movement.

    JOSIMAR FREIRE, 31, lives and works in Juiz de Fora (MG). His work includes painting, collage, video and artist's books, with paper as his main medium. His work is produced in series, seeking through writing to communicate his references and promote questions about contemporary society.
    Through abstraction, a pictorial universe is conceived that seeks to synthesize his experience as a DJ and music researcher, as well as expressing his reading of the urban field through the practice of skateboarding and its culture.
    With a multiple production, the artist has held three solo exhibitions, participated in group shows, film festivals and the country's main graphic fairs.
    His work is influenced by the political art of artists such as Emory Douglas, the visual poetry of Wlademir Dias Pino and the Campos brothers. In abstraction, the influences come from the Brazilian concrete and neo-concrete period, highlighting the Frente and Ruptura groups, as well as the work of Rubem Valentim and Abdias do Nascimento.
