CHICO REI was created by Bruno Imbrizi in the corridors of the Faculty of Arts at the Federal University of Juiz de Fora, back in 2008. Materializing a brand was a form of freedom of expression, of building new paths and of narrating the relationship with Minas Gerais through what was worn. The look of admiration for the hands that made the garments was built up from childhood, the smell of knitwear was commonplace, and developing an art and fashion brand was a natural path in this story. They have become a national reference when it comes to creativity and have multiplied their business model into arms that bear our signature, like a tattoo.
Today Chico Rei is part of a group of companies that draw from the same source of inventiveness, collectivity and irreverence. The brand that was born in a bedroom is no longer the same, but the clicks that sparked the first ideas are still there.
