With the theme "Inclusion Journey: Turning Challenges into Opportunities", the penultimate edition of the year of the event promoted by the Moinho highlights the importance of inspiring projects that promote accessibility.

On October 25th, at 7pm, at the Moinhothe 7th edition of the ESG Forum will take place, with a presentation by ArcelorMittal. The theme of this edition is the journey of inclusion of People with Disabilities (PwD) in the job market, which in addition to bringing more diversity to the company is also a right provided for by law.

The Law on Quotas for People with Disabilities (8.213/91) was passed on July 24, 1991 and requires companies with more than 100 employees to reserve job vacancies for PwDs.

In the social sphere, inclusion is urgently needed as a way of offering more opportunities for minority groups and a more diverse and welcoming environment in organizations.

According to the Ministry of Labor, in recent years there has been a 20% increase in the number of vacancies offered to this public. However, in practice, the inclusion of these people in the job market has some peculiarities and can be a challenge for an unprepared management.

This is the purpose of the ESG Forum "Jornada da Inclusão: Transformando Desafios em Oportunidades" (Inclusion Journey: Turning Challenges into Opportunities), to present success stories from ArcelorMittal, with the aim of inspiring more inclusion projects and reinforcing the importance of dealing with this issue in all sectors of companies.

The event is free and open to all people interested in the topic, such as HR professionals in companies, leaders in people management, recruitment and selection, NGOs and institutions that promote the training of people with disabilities, students and people with disabilities.

A professional in the field of Social Psychology and with studies focused on social assistance, public policies and human rights, Kiara Rezende has been working for almost three years in the Diversity & Inclusion area, in the Culture, Diversity, Innovation and ESG Department of ArcelorMittal's Future Directorate.
