Moinho starts the Moinho Talks series with the theme "The secret of the new economy"

From March to December 2023, Moinho is holding Moinho Talks, a program in partnership with the Brazilian Micro and Small Business Support Service (Sebrae) to offer companies in the city and region the opportunity to train managers and middle management so that the organization is prepared to grow, seeking new levels of productivity and competitiveness."The program was structured based on the real needs of companies, with relevant content to support the leaders of their organization in broadening their vision of business, processes and the market," says Moinho's innovation manager, Arthur Avelar.

On March 7, at 7pm, in the Moinho auditorium, experts Rodrigo Schittini, founder and CEO of Guiando - a startup from Juiz de Fora that won the Great Place to Work (GPTW) 2023 award, and Michele Janovik, CEO of Base 27 - Corporate Innovation Hub (Vitória/ES), will kick off the series of events with the theme The secret of the new economy. Featured topics include the growth methodology of the biggest startups on the planet, such as Uber, Netflix and Airbnb, and the mechanisms used in Silicon Valley (USA) to identify a real market problem, win customers and have a successful business.

"I don't think we can say 'the secrets of the new economy' because there is so much information available about the new practices, the new economic model and the results that it really isn't a secret. However, it is not yet propagated and rooted in the daily lives of people who set out to do business. This is what we need to change. Of course, some businesses are more impacted and suffer more changes than others, they may benefit or be harmed more or less, but somehow the entrepreneur who is most up-to-date and has a broad view of all the changes that have already taken place and those that are yet to take place will have this as a differentiator to use in their business. And every day, this ceases to be a differential and becomes a case of survival," says Rodrigo.

The program

Arthur Avelar says that in the contemporary context and given the importance of the role that organizations play in this scenario, there is an increasing need for leaders with a strategic vision and relevant knowledge for the sustainable transformation of corporations and society. That's why, according to him, the topics were selected to meet the real demands of companies. "With a disruptive and innovative methodology, the program will be developed through three central guidelines that run through theory, market cases and then experimentation," he explains.

In total, there will be 10 meetings, with 55 hours of training, in which participants will be able to access relevant current topics through guest experts each month, opening up space for interaction and active participation with managers from other organizations. During the events, the traditional lecture model is deconstructed through quick presentations, followed by conversation circles, question sessions and lots of networking.

"As part of the new economy, focusing on entrepreneurship and innovation, especially with the union of the city's productive sector, is crucial if we are to overcome this current scenario in the Zona da Mata region of Minas Gerais, whose Gross Domestic Product (GDP) per capita has grown the least compared to the mesoregions of Minas Gerais. Strengthening the entrepreneurial culture, generating opportunities for sustainable growth for companies, among other actions, are possibilities for reversing this logic," concludes Arthur Avelar.
