Registration is now open for an entrepreneurship challenge in Juiz de Fora

FromMay 19 to 21, Juiz de Fora will host the first edition ofthe Fator S Challengeideathon, an entrepreneurship marathon designed to encourage participants to create solutions for a challenge proposed byWabtec Corporation, a global leader in equipment, locomotives, systems, digital solutions, and services for rail freight and passenger transportation. The initiative is a partnership between Sebrae Minas, Wabtec, and Moinho, a hub for entrepreneurship, innovation, and creativity. Registration is free and can be completed by May 10 on the website.

The program aims to encourage the development of technology-based, digital, and scalable business ideas (those that experience rapid growth without requiring a proportional increase in costs), motivating participants to seek creative and innovative solutions to transform the market. The program will consist of three days of immersion in the following topics: leadership and empathy; creativity and problem-solving; execution skills; teamwork; innovative mindset; presentation and communication techniques; entrepreneurial skills; and agile tools.

According to Daniela Ferreira, an analyst at Sebrae Minas, the idea is for participants to connect with people from diverse backgrounds in order to drive technological innovations to address the challenge posed by the anchor company, Wabtec Corporation. “The Fator S Challenge helps develop people, foster teamwork, introduce new concepts and tools, and provide practical training for implementing new solutions in the market,” she explains.

Wabtec’s Innovation Manager, Cleber Tavares, explains that Juiz de Fora is a region of great importance for rail transport, as well as a hub for innovation and entrepreneurship. “The Challenge will be a unique opportunity to discuss ideas and develop solutions to boost the national rail industry,” he says.

The Fator S Challenge will take place at Moinho’s headquarters, located at 900 Presidente Juscelino Kubitschek Avenue in the Francisco Bernardino neighborhood. At the end of the activities, participants will present a pitch to the panel of judges, who will select the best idea.
